Introduction

Adding and playing a sound effect is pretty easy. But it’s rare, especially in a live performance such as a play, that you want that sound to play at a constant volume the entire time.

How do you fix this? Well, you could once again, open up your favorite audio editor and change the volume over time. But let’s be honest, that completely ignores the unpredictable nature of a live performance. As an artist, I want my sound design to ebb and flow along with the story tellers on stage.
