Grouping Blocks
Now if we needed to adjust this whole set of blocks in time, we would have to select them individually, but we want to treat them as a single sound effect. This is what Grouping is for.
- Select all the blocks in this “barking section” by holding down the Cmd button as you click on each one, or by dragging a selection marquee that touches each of them.
- Once each block is selected, group them by either right clicking on one of the blocks and selecting “Group Clips” or you can use Clip > Group [Cmd + G]
- Now you can drag the entire group around in time and in the tracks. You’ll also notice a small Group icon in the blocks.
By the way, you can use this same method to un-group blocks. Also, you can group groups. Nice.
