Introduction
This chapter is all about how QLab interacts with audio devices. QLab’s audio settings can be accessed by clicking on the work space settings gear icon and then selecting the audio settings tab. Here you have all kinds of options on how QLab should interact with the audio devices that are connected to your computer.
An audio device is any part of your computer that takes audio in or sends it out. On your laptop that could simply be your built-in speakers, on your phone it would be your headphone jack. You can even purchase external audio cards that connect to your computer to your computer via a USB cable. In fact, here is my Scarlett 2i2, you can even use a virtual soundcard such as Dante that sends your audio over your local computer network. QLab then allows you to select, label, and reroute your devices. It even lets you put effects on individual outputs, so many option to choose from.
