Creating Cue Sequences with “Go To Next” Groups
The cues within a group can still behave normally, with pre-waits, post-waits, and continue modes. Occasionally a group cue might hold a cue sequence. Here for example we have an audio cue set to auto-continue followed by a fade up cue, then a fade down cue. When I hit GO, I don’t want to enter into the group, I want to get ready for the next cue and let this one advance automatically.
This would be a moment to use the second group mode, “Start first child and go to next cue” or as I like to call it a “Go To Next” group.
When I hit go, the contents within will happen (or not happen if they’re set to be in that type of cue sequence), and the playhead will move to the first cue after this group.
Assignment
Try creating a cue sequence with an audio cue, an establishing fade up cue, and a quieter fade down cue.
