Audio Level Extras
Here is a quick little catch-all lesson to cover a handful of items you might be curious about in the Audio Levels tab of the inspector.
First, next to the output patch you’ll see an Edit Button. This brings you straight to QLab’s Audio Device settings for this workspace and for this output. You could also get here by going to Workspace Settings, Audio, and Edit Patch. To learn more about this, click on one of the links below.
Next is the “Set Default Levels” button, which does exactly what you would expect, takes the current input, output, crosspoint, and gang settings and replaces them with the default ones. Here is what mine looks like in this workspace.
“Set All Silent Levels” just straight up gets rid of everything. Didn’t mean to do that? Don’t worry there’s always Edit / Undo.
And finally, the “Visible Channels” box. Sick of seeing more channels than you need or have available? Take the number down. Need more channels than are displayed? Take that number up!
