What is Patching?

Patching is then the connection between the address and the channel. It’s essentially a spreadsheet of each channel you want to use in your light board. For each channel, the patch identifies the address as well as any other pertinent information such as the fixture model and manufacturer or even a descriptive label, such as “House Light”.
