What is a Non-Intensity Parameter?
The great thing about a channel is that it doesn’t have to only refer to how bright a light is, it can have extra parameters that don’t refer to the light’s intensity: non-intensity parameters. This could mean color, strobe, pan, tilt, and more.
So with our backlight LEDs, I can control the brightness or the intensity of channel 13, but I can also control the color. Or with my moving mirror, I can control the pan and the tilt.
All these properties of the fixture are controlled by one channel.
