Open and Close Cues
It can be really useful for QLab to automatically perform a series of actions, a cue sequence when it opens or when it closes. For example, I like to use Applescript cues to turn on or off projectors when I design video with QLab. Or when I use QLab for kiosks or other unsupervised installations, it’s handy for QLab to automatically start a video display or environmental sound scape.
The Open and Close cues give you the option of automatically running a cue when QLab opens and running a cue when QLab closes. To enable this feature check the check box then specify the cue number that should be run on opening or closing. Personally I like to use cue numbers that will never be used in any cue list ever; for example, the tilde character followed by the word Open or Close.
These then correspond to cues in your cue lists. You can see here that the name and number matches in the workspace settings matches the name and number in my cue list. You’ll also notice that I like to stick these cues in a separate cue list so that they stay untouched.
