Macros
Here’s the last one to share. But I’m just going to link to a video. It’s all about Macros.
Sometimes it’s really nice to be able to repeat or automate a series of commands.
For example; there might be a series of backstage lights that need to be Parked when a light board turns on and Unmarked when the light board turns off. This would be a great usage of Macros.
Another example, I like to create two buttons on my board to do a channel check. They’re simply [@] [Out] [Previous] [@] [Full] to go backwards in the Live Table display and then [@] [Out] [Next] [@] [Full] to go forwards in the Live Table display. It seems like just a few keystrokes, but repeating them 100s of times in a row … well … you can imagine how quickly this becomes useful.
To repeat: Macros allow us to record or specify a series of keystrokes and then play them back on command.
How? Check out this video.
