Introduction
Once you’ve added a cue, the Inspector window is where you can view or edit the different properties about the selected cue. Properties are then grouped into tabs. A few things to mention …
First, the inspector window is only available in Edit Mode. If you’re in Show Mode, you won’t see it. Which makes sense; if you’re in a performance you should be focusing on executing cues, not making adjustments.
Second, the inspector window can be closed. To re-open it either select “Inspector” from the “View” menu or use the hotkey, Command-I
Third, the inspector window can be resized or even popped out and moved around. This is especially handy when working with a dual screen setup.
Next, if you have multiple cues selected, QLab will allow you to edit common, shared properties. QLab also provides you with the ability to choose a subset of that selection.
Finally, there is no “commit” or “done” button in the Inspector. When editing a value, pressing enter, leaving the text box, or releasing your mouse will commit the change. Accidentally entered the wrong value? Well that’s why there’s Undo.
