Auto-Number Cues
When the Auto-number feature is enabled all new cues will automatically be give a number. Which number? Well, whatever cue number is before it plus the increment. Here my increment is set to 2, because I like even numbers.
So here if I drop a cue after cue number 10, the new cue will automatically be numbered as 12.
Now, if I drop another cue in between 10 and 12, it’ll be given a number halfway in between the numbers before and after it. So, 11. Drop another between 10 and 11? It’ll receive a number of 10.5; halfway.
Honestly, I like to number my cues how and when I want, so I typically turn this feature off. I also really don’t like needlessly numbered cues, so all the cues within a group, I rarely number. But again, whatever preference helps you work best.
